I know that at the blink of the eye, God could take all of this from me. I've lost so much b/c I let worldly wealth get in the way of my heavenly wealth. As I embark on a new journey of success in my life, I am reminded of a few things.
1) Life is short, so don't waste time worrying about the Jones'. Keep up with you and what God has called you to do.
2) Stop being phony. My pastor used the term "30-minute love" today in church. It simply means, don't act cool and calm at 12:30, and at 1:00 be judgmental and arrogant. Stay true to who you are and never let anyone persuade you to be someone different. Irrational behaviors happen when we stop being real and start being phony.
3) Love like God created you. God created you in His image, so act like you have some sense and start loving your neighbor. People spend their whole lives searching for love in the world, when God has shown us what true love is like and how we are to act towards our neighbors.
4) Do things in spirit and in truth. If you proclaim to be a follower of Jesus Christ, then you should be operating in the spirit and allowing the Holy Spirit to be your moral compass. If not, there is still time. I respect the fact that others have their own religion and beliefs. What I do not get is how people can abandon their faith and rely on the world to solve their problems. Once the problem is solved, they go back to God and start praising Him like nothing ever happened. No, no, no. If you are doing things in spirit and in truth, be honest with yourself and God. Allow God's presence to overtake you and consume you with feelings of joy and clarity. Most of all, let the Holy Spirit to work through you to spread the gospel, honestly.
Overall, I try to keep it 1000 and be 100% honest with everyone, myself, and God. Am I perfect? NOOOOOOOO. I have issues too, I just deal with them from a spiritual standpoint and rely on the God that created me to keep my head from bursting open.
