Each day I am learning that when the enemy is on a mission to stop you, he will try his hardest to trip you up every chance he can get. I've also learned that when God says yes...(praise break)...there is nothing the enemy can do to stop God from blessing you.
We all know that marriage is a blessing and hard work. A marriage that has not been set up for success by building its foundation on the word of God is more than likely to have some cracks and wholes in the base boards. If you've read the Bible then you also know that God created Eve from Adam and united them to work, live, and love together as one (as indicated by Adam's rib) (Gen. 1&2). Now, keep in mind that God said yes to this union, but old Satan said no. So who won?
Despite the many challenges that Adam and Eve faced, they never divorced. Kicked out of the garden? Yes. Realized they were naked? Yes. Struggled to take care of the land and bare the pain of childbirth? Yes. All in all, they still remained husband and wife and stood by each other. That's because God said yes. God may have punished them for their sins, but God still joined them together in a bond so strong that it could not be broken.
So how does that fit you? When God has spoken existence into your life, no one can take that away from you. Haters will hate. It's in their job description. The enemy will try to rob, steal, or kill your dream, but God will always intervene and get you back on track. God's yes is more powerful than all the 'no's' in the world. Check the records: God said yes to Daniel, Moses, Abraham, Jacob, Joseph, Mary, Deborah, the children of Israel, and more. Most of all God said yes to Jesus...shouting time...when He gave Him the responsibility of fulfilling the prophesy of the resurrection. God said yes to you when He breathed life in you.
I know you are hurting right now and you feel like the weight of the world is on your shoulders. Your husband doesn't get it. Your wife won't listen to reason. You are trying to hold back your tears and walk around as if everything is okay, when its not. God's yes gives us hope that things will get better. How do I know? Because God spoke life into my marriage. God spoke a yes that stopped me from listening to the enemy and turned my heart back towards Him. It's hard to listen for God's yes, when the no's keep screaming in your ear. When the deafening sounds of defeat are knocking at your door, run to the hills from which your help comes from. Run to the One who's love saves you, protects you, and guides you. Wait for His yes and listen only for His voice.
God will come through and fix your marriage. He will place people in your life that will speak life into your situation and help you out of a troublesome time (i.e. Me). I'm here to help and God is waiting on you to surrender all to Him.
