For example, I was recently booked on several radio shows to showcase my book. While, I could have done this months ago, I kept doubting that I would ever be good enough to get onto national radio programs. My vision of impossible was transforming into God's possible. That last statement is what I want to focus on today. The things we feel are impossible are more than possible with God. After all, He is the Alpha and Omega, the Creator of all things. Surely, if God speaks it, thinks it, touches it, it will come to pass.
The problem lies when we do a mental block of God's possible and dwell only on our impossible. Bills getting paid and having no money is a prime example of turning impossible into possible. Around the time of my wedding, I was having a hard time figuring out how we were going to pay for everything. Would we have to cancel everything? Nope. God took that situation and turned it around for us. Granted we were not having an over the top elaborate Kardashian style wedding, but nonetheless it was grand to us. Every paycheck seemed to stretch further than I could fathom. At times it felt like there were more bills than paychecks, but some how everything got paid (relatively on time).
So, where's the scripture to back this up? Matthews 19:26 (NKJV) "But Jesus looked at them and said to them, “With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”" At this point, Jesus was speaking to His disciples and telling them that "it would be easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than a rich man to enter into the Kingdom of God". You'll have to read the whole chapter to understand the full context. And check out Luke 1. This chapter deals with the foretelling of Jesus' birth to Mary. My point in all of this is that what man looks at as impossible is more than possible to God.
That job you thought you were unqualified for or that school you think your child isn't smart enough to get into, ask God for it anyway. If it is in his will, it will be. No isn't always no. Sometimes no is not yet. I encourage you to keep seeking God for those things you feel are impossible. I promise you, God hears your prayers and your pleas. He hears to hearts cry of His people and wants to turn man's impossible into possible. How many times have you heard of people saying they went to the doctor and got a bad report, only to go a few days, weeks, months, or years later and find that that bad report is now a clean bill of health. Man's interventions will only take you so far. Only God knows the true outcome of every situation. It is up to us to have faith in knowing, and exercise our faith in continuous prayer, praise, and petitions. "Impossible things are happening everyday." - that's from a Disney Cinderella movie (the one w/ Whoopi and Brandy).
